Em 2005-06 Urs Fischer criou essa escultura gigante de um urso de pelúcia amarelo apoiado em uma luminária. Agora, a Christie’s colocou o ursinho na calçada em NY para divulgar o seu leilão em 11 de maio. Inspirado em memórias pessoais do artista, a estimativa é que essa escultura atinja o lance de pelo menos $9m no evento.
Artist Urs Fischer created the 23-foot tall, bronze teddy bear slumped under a black lamp back in 2005-6, and it is set to bring attention to Christe’s Post-War & Contemporary Evening Sale on May 11. The estimate is that Fischer’s teddy bear sculpture, titled Untitled (Lamp/Bear) and based on his own personal yellow teddy bear, could get at least $9m at auction.
FIERCE FESTIVAL is a Birmingham live art festival that returns after a break with new young curators. This year the programming combines subtle interventions in experience of public space. DazedTV premieres Dazed TV Party, a online music and pop culture show that brings to life the innovative and anarchic editorial spirit that has made Dazed & Confused one of the trendsetting magazine brands of the last 20 years. Paying homage to the lo-fi public broadcasting aesthetic of Glenn O’Brien’s cult 1970s TV Party, it is a forum for new ideas, underground music, fashion and radical art.
The Bicycle Film Festival is back for its eleventh year. Started in 2001 by Brendt Barbur, the event invites films across all genres and styles as long as it contains a bike-related theme. The program will travel to over 25 cities this year including New York, Paris, Liverpool and Milan. The BFF also includes rock shows, street parties, art shows, dinners, bike rides and more.
